Over 200 Texas school districts are participating in the first cycle of the D.A.T.E. program in 2008-09

Almost 1,000 Texas schools are receiving a TEEG grant during this third cycle in 2008-09.

These programs reach an extraordinary percentage of Texas' students and teachers.

Over half of Texas’ nearly 312,000 teachers and 4,600,000 students are participating in the D.A.T.E. and TEEG programs.

These programs have reached so many teachers and students because of the high level of commitment the state of Texas has made to these programs.

  • D.A.T.E. Cycle 1 districts will pay out $147.5 million in awards to teachers and staff after the 2008-09 school year.
  • TEEG Cycle 3 campuses will pay out $93 million in awards to teachers and staff after the 2008-09 school year.
